so it does not happen again
What is happening
Understanding your pain comes first.
Lanzarote attracts runners, triathletes, cyclists and surfers all year round, and training camps or race weeks often mean a sudden jump in load. Poor load progression, fatigue or an old injury that never fully healed are the usual culprits.
We do not stop at easing the pain: we assess the injury, plan your return in stages and test that you are ready before you race again.
What we treat
- Muscle strains and tears
- Ankle and knee sprains
- Runner’s knee and shin pain
- Achilles and patellar tendon pain
- Shoulder pain from surfing and racket sports
- Recovery during training camps and race weeks

Training on the island?
If you are here for a training camp, Ironman Lanzarote or another race, we work around your schedule and adapt your training so you can keep going safely.
What the evidence says
For many muscle and ligament injuries, early and progressive loading leads to better outcomes than prolonged rest.
FAQ
Sports injuries: your questions.
How long does a muscle tear take to heal?+
From two or three weeks for minor strains to several months for larger tears, depending on size and location. Ultrasound helps us estimate it.
Do you treat athletes of all levels?+
Yes, from weekend runners to competitive athletes. The plan is built around your goals and your race calendar.
Can I keep training while I am treated?+
In many cases, yes, with adjusted load. We tell you what you can keep doing and what to pause for now.
