What is happening
Understanding your pain comes first.
Most back and neck pain is not caused by serious damage. It usually combines a sensitised area, stiffness, low tolerance to load and factors such as stress or poor sleep. With a disc problem or sciatica, pain can also spread into the arm or leg.
We start by understanding your case: how it began, what makes it worse and what eases it. We screen for warning signs and then choose the right mix of manual therapy, exercise and technology for you.
What we treat
- Acute and recurring low back pain
- Sciatica and leg pain
- Disc bulges and herniations
- Neck pain and stiff neck
- Headaches coming from the neck
- Mid-back pain and stiffness

Good to know
Before you book.
When to see a doctor first
Progressive leg weakness, changes in bladder control, fever or severe night pain that does not ease. If we spot any of these, we refer you straight away.
About scans
Disc bulges and wear show up on many MRI scans of people with no pain at all. We always read imaging alongside your examination.
What the evidence says
Staying active and therapeutic exercise are the foundation of treatment. Manual therapy and other techniques help reduce pain so you can move better.
FAQ
Back and neck pain: your questions.
Do I need an MRI before coming?+
No. Most people do not. If the assessment suggests you need a scan, we will tell you and point you to the right specialist.
I hurt my back on holiday. Can you help?+
Yes. Acute back pain usually settles well with the right advice and treatment. We help you stay as active as possible and enjoy the rest of your trip.
Should I rest?+
Usually not. Prolonged rest tends to make back pain worse. We tell you which activities to keep doing and how to adapt them while you recover.
